Who pays the writers? Digital Publishing in the Open Source Era

Many authors see the Internet and new media publishing innovations as a threat, others see it as an opportunity. Which writers will shine a light into the future and how many will be there?

In a sense, all of us will be there, for we are all writers today. Anyone who has sent an email, had a chat by typing, keyboarded their way into the blogosphere to comment on a post, or posted a diatribe themselves has written their way into history. It's all recorded, and will never be erased.

One could be paranoid about that fact and write nothing, or one could write everything possible and ever the twain should meet.

That is what we ponder in a dualistic universe, if ever there were such an oxymoron.
